• We have a small number of concentrated positions. Our top 5 public stocks typically account for 70%+ of the long portfolio, with a similar level of concentration in the private portfolio.

• A single investment decision maker allows us to act quickly when compelling opportunities arise (no committees or boards to slow us down).

• Managing only our own capital allows us to hold positions indefinitely (external factors do not force unnatural actions so we are unaffected by fund life timing, mandatory liquidity events, need for a higher "mark", etc.).

• Our level of involvement can vary from small minority positions with little/no influence to serving on the board to an executive chairman role.

• We do not need to spend time investing but gladly do so because we are passionate about deploying capital and find peculiar joy in maximizing shareholder value.
